3 days on the Croisette for the MEDIA programme
In mid-May, the Croisette fills up with people for the Cannes Film Festival. Creative Europe MEDIA has its pavilion there, a meeting point for producers, sales agents and industry professionals. This year, the programme celebrates its 35th anniversary, and Cannes was just one stop among the other markets: after the Berlinale and Series Mania, one more market on the European tour we cover for the Stories in Motion campaign, in collaboration with Cecoforma.
The challenge wasn’t to produce volume. A European funding programme is hard to tell in a corporate way: logos, corporate visuals, calls for applications. Our mission: social live to show that MEDIA happens on the ground, at human level, where cinema is really made.
A schedule timed down to the minute beforehand, concepts thought through and approved before we even arrived. And once on the Croisette: long days, miles on foot between meetings, nonstop creative thinking, constant adapting, live editing so that everything went out the same day.
The result is an account that changes texture. Faces instead of logos, sun and sea instead of meeting rooms, embraced spontaneity instead of polished visuals. Three days in the field that fed the account for a whole month.
The vox pops were the best organic surprise of the mission: nearly 24 hours of cumulative watch time, without any boost. Just real reactions that hold attention until the very end.
And the collaborations with @marchedufilm and the national Desks did the rest: a partner account multiplies reach and positions MEDIA as a player in the network, not just a participant.
This mission was carried out in collaboration with Cecoforma, the events agency that coordinates the MEDIA programme on the ground. We go from festival to festival with them, and it’s always a pleasure.
