Mission: stiff neck.

In October 2022, at the initiative of the Uhoda group, the artist Daniel Buren covered the glass roofs of Liège-Guillemins station, designed by Santiago Calatrava, with some 20,000 m² of coloured panels. When the sun shines through, the colours fall from the sky and slide across the platforms, the travellers and the passers-by. An in situ artwork in motion, which stayed in place until 2024.

For Color Experience, our role fit in one sentence: make people look up, in the station as on their screens. We took charge of the project’s entire digital communication: the strategy, the social media and the day-to-day community management.

On opening day, a small team was on site. Alice held out the microphone to passers-by to collect their first impressions, Robin photographed the station in all its colours, and we told the whole story live on social media.

Then we kept the artwork alive online, season after season: vox pops, photos, videos and those little details you only notice when you take the time to look. The result: a station everyone rediscovers, and quite a stiff neck.
